2026 NCAC Symposium

Every March, the National Children’s Advocacy Center in Huntsville, Alabama hosts the International Symposium on Child Abuse. This conference brings together professionals from across the country and world who are committed to protecting children and strengthening communities.

For the past two years, The Mama Bear Effect has been a proud sponsor of this impactful conference, helping elevate the conversation around the prevention of child sexual abuse. It’s an opportunity to highlight how professionals, parents, and courageous adults each play a vital role in the prevention puzzle.

This year, Adrianne, Natalie, and Alison attended on behalf of The Mama Bear Effect, building new connections, strengthening existing partnerships, and engaging in meaningful conversations throughout the week. From March 16th - 19th, each day was filled with learning, collaboration, and teaching!

We are incredibly grateful to every attendee who stopped by our booth, joined our session, or took time to connect with us. We had the privilege of speaking with passionate and dedicated professionals from across the country, and WORLD, who are making a tangible difference. Because of their work, children and communities are safer.

As part of our platinum sponsorship, The Mama Bear Effect helped provide a complimentary evening at the National Children’s Advocacy Center, bringing attendees together for great barbeque and networking! It was a meaningful time to connect beyond sessions and continue building a community committed to prevention and responding to child abuse to the best of our abilities.

Natalie and Alison were thankful for the opportunity to teach a session on females who sexually abuse children. You can read more about that in our blog post here!

We left Huntsville feeling encouraged, energized, and more committed than ever to do this work. We are so thankful for the connections made and the shared passion for protecting children. We look forward to continuing to support both professionals and parents as we work together in this important responsibility.
